Meet the owner
My name is Angela, and my upbringing was immersed in the company of animals. From a young age, my dream has been to establish my own rescue sanctuary. My deepest fulfillment comes from the opportunity to educate and uplift people by sharing my passion for animal care. Several years ago, I became aware of the escalating crisis involving horses being shipped to slaughter, enduring inhumane treatment during their journey and demise. I am driven by a resolute desire to effect positive change in this regard. While I may not have the power to transform the world, I know for each animal saved, I can indeed change theirs.
Our history
Dream Haven Animal Rescue was started in 2022. We had our first owner surrender that same year. He is a 28 year old horse needing a place to live out his retirement. We have had sheep, donkeys, a pig, horses, dogs, and cats.
Our mission
Our mission is simple: To save slaughter-bound, neglected, and abused animals by providing them a safe haven where they can experience love, receive rehabilitation, and, when possible, find forever homes. We cannot achieve this without your help. Please consider making a donation today.
